Our thorough evaluations consist of a variety of measures depending upon the reason for referral. Testing may include cognitive, achievement and adaptive measures as well as the assessment of social, emotional, and behavioral functioning depending upon the needs of each individual. We also specialize in Autism Evaluations which include the administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - 2nd Edition (ADOS-2) and the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS-2). With an extensive amount of experience in psychological testing, we work closely with families to help them to understand the results and how to use those results to help their children get the support and services they need to achieve their full potential. While much of the testing we do is focused on children, adolescents, and young adults, we have experience in working with adults as well.
Our Mission
Our goal at Long Island Psychological Practice is to help families in need find answers and get the support necessary to help their family members thrive. We provide comprehensive psychological testing in order to determine what supports your child may need to be successful in school, at home, in the community, and in their future. We aim to provide families with the answers and peace of mind that their loved ones are in need of and offer a full range of services in order for families to utilize testing results to navigate available resources. We recognize that if one family member is in need, it can disrupt the entire family system and create undue stress for all. We help to ensure families that there is an opportunity for manageable solutions, bringing equilibrium to the environment.
