Danielle Arouty, Psy.D.
Dr. Arouty is a NYS Licensed Psychologist and NYS Certified School Psychologist. She attended New York University where she received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Psychology and earned her Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) from Hofstra University. Dr. Arouty has been assessing children, adolescents, and adults throughout her career, has years of experience diagnosing and treating individuals on the Autism Spectrum, and works to help families seek out appropriate services that best fit the needs of their child. This may include services within the school setting, linking families to outside therapy, social skills groups, support groups, and other resources, as well as helping families to determine eligibility for OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities). Dr. Arouty also has extensive knowledge and experience working with children and adolescents struggling with other disorders that begin in childhood including Intellectual Disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disabilities, and emotional struggles that may include various forms of anxiety and depression. Having lead the Autism Clinic as a graduate student at Hofstra University, and having worked in school systems throughout Long Island, Dr. Arouty is well versed on the systems, needs and approaches to managing multiple needs for children and families.
